so i was thinking about something the other day and i’ve just now been able to sit down and flush it out. in all the disney movies, the story goes like this: a girl doesn’t have everything she wants and she’s often mistreated, but she ends up coming out better in the end than all the rich and more well-off girls that try to blend in. the girl who gets the ultimate prize sticks out like a sore thumb. the most recent movie that i can think of to parallel what i’m trying to say is sydney white. she didn’t fit in and stuck up for the dorks of her university, but she ended up getting the cutie and winning president of her school. and i can’t think of how many songs have been written about staying true to who you are, and don’t hide what you belive, and dare to be different and yet, no one does. everywhere i look, the people who do “dare to be different” still get squashed down by the faceless mass of sameness. why is it that the people who are different can’t just be who they are. but, then again, isn’t there a little bit of difference in all of us?

After a long day I’ve finally been able to put my pjs on…only to sit down to study for a huge written test. Gotta love gov.
